Today we're going to be taking about the top 5, best smartphones of the year 2016! This was a great year for smartphones, we got bigger screens/displays, better cameras, bigger batteries, modules, better performance and so much more. In this video we give our list of the top smartphones of the year! Our top FIVE: Google Pixel (XL), iPhone 7 (Plus), Samsung Galaxy S7 (Edge), OnePlus 3T and the Huawei Nexus 6P.

Our list is not in any particular order, all of the phones are great choices as phones to buy.
Starting off with an awesome budget option we’ve got the OnePlus 3T. This phone is honestly one of the best available right now. It’s coming in with all the top-end features that you’d only expect to see in phones double the price. For $400 we’re seeing the newest Snapdragon 821 processor which makes it one of the fastest smartphones available right now. We’re also seeing a nice design with the phone and a decent camera. It’s not perfect with just a 1080p display which can be annoying when you’re on certain video sharing sites.. but for the price you’re getting a crazy good phone.
The next phone we have here is the Nexus 6P. Although it wasn’t released in 2016, it still is up there with the newest phones. Being a previous flagship, there was no sacrifices made in build quality, battery life, display or camera. It still performs extremely well and looks extremely nice. It’s actually still my daily driver. The best thing is that the price of the phone has dropped tremendously with the new release of Google’s newest flagship.
Next up we’ve got the iPhone 7 Plus because no matter what you think about iPhone's, there’s no doubting that this is a great piece of tech. You’re getting the best of pretty much everything, and we’re finally seeing waterproofing in an iPhone making it a great all-rounder.
In the next spot we have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung has risen to become one of the best, if not the best smartphone company over last half decade so there is no surprise that the Edge has landed onto this list. With the recall of Note 7’s, this was Samsung’s flagship device. It had one of the best cameras and displays of any smartphone this year with an improved software experience. And lets not forget the amazing build and finish along with the software to utilize the edge. You can’t go wrong with a beautiful smartphone like the Galaxy S7 Edge.
And lastly, we’ve got the Google Pixel. Now I’ve thrown this phone in because it’s pretty much a benchmark for what all phones can be. It comes packing pretty much everything you would want from a smartphone and It’s easily got the best, if not one of the best cameras ever put into a smartphone and overall it’s a pretty solid package.
